Hallo friends,

when i start the engine of my bathtube after an immobilization of several weeks, I only turn the ignition key. No choke, no kick on the throttle control. The starter turns the Motor but there is no ignition. After several turns of the crankshaft, the control lamp for oil goes off, all bearings are supplied with oil. Then I step on the throttle control (automatic choke) and the motor starts without ugly noises.

Hi BJ,
that is exactly the best way to do it... most of the time, the fuel pump also needs to fill the carburetor with the initial 5-10 turns of the starter... so the engine will start with combustion at the right time, after getting some oil pressure and having fuel in the carb...

Thanks BJ64 for your answer, i understand perfectly your english, mine is not perfect too cause I'm Portuguese :D

Klaus you are right, those 5-10 turns helps oil pressure, but in my case, it is not enough, cause the oil pump starts without oil in.

Hello everyone,

Finally i taked some courage and take off the Pan assy - (engine oil) cover.

First, to check if i will buy the correct crankshaft bearings and connecting rod corrects, i search for the colors (Red, Blue...) but didn't find it anywhere. I have searched for the signals indicated at the manual, but didn't find anything... Is there other way to find the correct bearings for my Tub?

Hola Nuno 106, tu problema de vaciado del aceite del motor cuando esta sin usar durante un tiempo se debe nada mas que al filtro de aceite.
los filtros tienen una valvula anti retorno para que el aceite no regrese al carter cuando el motor este parado.
Solucion: cambiar el filtro por uno de buena calidad.........(mi motor tampoco tenia las marcas de pintura que dice el manual)

Hallo Nuno 106, Ihr Problem Motoröl ablassen, wenn es nicht benutzt wird, um eine lange nichts mehr, als der Ölfilter.
Filter haben ein Rückschlagventil für den Ölrücklauf zu dem Kurbelgehäuse, wenn der Motor gestoppt ist.
Lösung: Ändern Sie den Filter wie ein von guter Qualität.
